Tribute To A Great Man: Vichai Srivaddhanaprabha
Leicester City have affirmed the demise of executive Vichai Srivaddhanaprabha after his helicopter slammed outside the club’s King Power Stadium on Saturday.
Over a hour after the club’s 1-1 draw against West Ham, Srivaddhanaprabha’s helicopter took off from the focal point of the stadium’s pitch, cleared the stands and smashed seconds after the fact.
Srivaddhanaprabha, 60, had utilized the helicopter on matchdays to go between the stadium and London.
What’s more, the club reported on Sunday he was in reality on board and did not survive the crash alongside four others.
“It is with the most profound lament and a group broken heart that we affirm our Chairman, Vichai Srivaddhanaprabha, was among those to have disastrously lost their lives on Saturday evening when a helicopter conveying him and four other individuals smashed outside King Power Stadium. None of the five individuals on-board survived,” a club articulation read.
“The essential musings of everybody at the Club are with the Srivaddhanaprabha family and the groups of each one of those on-load up during this season of unspeakable misfortune.
In Khun Vichai, the world has lost a great man. A man of kindness, of generosity and a man whose life was defined by the love he devoted to his family and those he so successfully led. Leicester City was a family under his leadership.
It is as a family that we will grieve his passing and maintain the pursuit of a vision for the Club that is now his legacy.”
